DESCRIPTION:SPONSORED BY:\n\n\n\n Visual System Center\n\nNEURO-OPTOMETRIC VISUAL REHABILITATION\n\nOPTOMETRIC VISION THERAPY\n\nSPORTS VISION TRAINING\n\nRita Cole\, CBIS\n\nNeuro-Optometric Rehabilitation & Vision Therapy Director\n\nVisual System Center of Woodbury\n\n \n\n Vision is more than just 20/20 sight. Vision is a product of our inherited potentials\, our past experiences\, and current information. Efficient visual functioning enables us to understand the world around us better and to guide our actions accurately and quickly. The visual system includes the eyes\, visual pathways\, and brain. Unfortunately\, the visual system may not develop to its full potential\, or it may be damaged due to injury such as a concussion. Often people do not realize that the symptoms they have are due to an undiagnosed visual dysfunction. Visual dysfunctions can cause headaches\, difficulty learning at school\, or poor productivity at work. Neuro Behavioral Optometrists and Vision Therapists can diagnose and treat these visual dysfunctions and even enhance healthy vision. Optometric Vision therapy and Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation provides people the opportunity to develop a fully functional\, efficient and comfortable visual system. Sports vision training improves the visual abilities of an athlete that are most necessary for excellence in their sport.
