DESCRIPTION:Please join the Oakdale Area Chamber of Commerce for our February General Meeting.\n\n\n\nWe will be featuring two speakers including: Citizen's Against Sex Trafficking (nonprofit) and Business Retention\, Expansion and Attraction (BRE&A) - Chamber partnership with the City of Oakdale. View speaker bios below. \n\n\n\nAshley Moore\, Executive Director\n\nCitizens Against Sex Trafficking\n\n\n\nAshley has her Master's degree in International Criminology with an emphasis in Restorative Justice from the University of Sheffield in the UK. She has experience working with survivors of sex trafficking in Austria\, England\, and the United States. Ashley was born and raised in Washington County and is eager to use her education and experience to serve her community. She is dedicated to serving and empowering victims of exploitation as well as equipping the community with the knowledge they need to help end sex trafficking and sexual exploitation.\n\n\n\nKim O'Brien\, Vice President\n\nSt Paul Area Chamber and Oakdale Area Chamber\n\nFindings from City of Oakdale Business Retention\, Expansion\, and Attraction Program \n\n\n\nKim is the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at the St Paul Area Chamber and leads their WorkStream professional services division. Within her role\, Kim also serves in executive leadership roles for several client-partners including the Rice & Larpenteur Alliance\, Oakdale Area Chamber of Commerce\, and Grand Avenue Business Association. She supervises a professional services team and oversees 15 active contracts for nonprofit and government partners\, generating nearly $1 Million in non-dues revenue. Prior to joining the Chamber\, Kim served as Legislative Aide in the St Paul City Council. She also held roles in community relations\, advocacy nonprofit development\, and advertising. Kim has a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. She serves as a Trustee for the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library.
