Additionally\, the Civic Champion award will be given to a local government leader who sets the bar in progressive\, innovative\, and cost-effective policies that positively impact citizens and businesses alike.\n\n \nNominees will be selected based on their contributions with respect to innovative initiatives and public policies that advance the public good and demonstrate a commitment to efficient and progressive government in one or more of the following areas:\n\n\n	Planning\, zoning\, and land use\;\n	Finance\;\n	Public works\;\n	Communications\;\n	Business Recruitment and Expansion\; and\n	Economic Development.\n\n\nThe nomination deadline is Friday\, October 9\, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
