On Thursday\, January 21\, the \;Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals (YPro) \;will host the YPro: Discovered Gala\, an evening \;honoring the best and brightest young professionals&mdash\;and those who support them&mdash\;in the metro area.
\n
\nSPACC YPro believes whole heartedly in the young professionals who make Saint Paul and the metro area thrive\, and wanted to recognize those who are truly making a difference both at their company and in their community. Thus\, Discovered &ndash\; A Night Honoring the Brightest Young Professionals in the Twin Cities was born. What better way to celebrate than with a red carpet\, black tie event in Hollywood fashion. This \;event will attract nearly 200 young professionals from across the metro to \;celebrate those who are leading the way for the future young professionals of this city. Three local businesses and five Young Professionals will be honored with a YPro Advocate of the Year and Young Professional of the Year award. The evening will include a Hollywood Glam inspired evening with dinner\, entertainment\, and good conversation led by our emcee of the night\, Emmy Award-winning journalist and reporter for WCCO-TV\, Kate Raddatz.

\nDuring the event\, we will be \;having a social media challenge \;in which a monetary donation will be given to one of the charities listed below (based on the number of tweets posted throughout the night using #DiscoverYPro). \;

- Young Professional of the Year \;| \;Up to five individuals will be named and one will be selected to win a $1000 scholarship to put towards professional development. \n

- YPro Advocate of the Year \;| This award will be given to one small company \;(<\;100 employees)\, one medium company \;(100 - 500 employees)\, and one large company \;(500+ employees) that have a commitment to Young Professionals in their organizations. \n
